Title: 2011 Montreal HIFI show Post by chris_m on 04/07/11 at 16:46:01 I went to the Montreal HIFI last weekend. A first time for me and a unique opportunity to see and hear some interesting equipment for someone who lives in Vermont (and have some nice food and wine- man does not live by sound alone). One of the most interesting speakers I heard, especially from a Zen perspective, were the Voxative Ampeggio (http://www.voxativ.com/eng/). I guess these a horn speakers using a proprietary driver. These speakers sounded great and had incredible bass. I'm curious if a FRX speaker could be used in a DIY version of this kind of speaker. Thoughts/opinions anyone? |

Says the driver is sold with open baffle plans. I wonder what this thing would do in a zen open baffle enclosure. And how much does it cost?! |

Title: Re: 2011 Montreal HIFI show Post by Brett on 04/10/11 at 19:44:00 5,500 Euros according to 6Moons. Or 8,000 dollars currently. Hehe, I guess we'll never know. |
