Title: SE34I.2+ MONOs

I was wondering, if the SE34I.2+ is built as a true twin mono design, could it be built as two twin monos perhaps using the SE84C+ chassis?  What do you think?

Ken, Steve used to build and sell (not sure how many units!) a similar model, the SE34 Monoblocks. These used solid state rectifiers.  I have a pair, very good souind quality.  A bit of noise, which may or not be bothersome.

Really captures a lot of the sound of the Integrated, perhaps even a bit more accurate and less forgiving (?)

Lon, were these the amps I believe you mentioned on another thread, and you stated that Steve admitted they were the noisest amps he ever made? Is the integrated noisy? Why would breaking them out contribute to more noise (I assume your talking about hum when music is not playing?)? Ken

Yes, those are the amps I'm referencing.  I'm not qualified to say why these or amps like these would be as they are, but yeah, that's how it is.
