Hello;

I installed a JBL Control 1 as center channel in my H.T. The Marantz receiver marks minimal impedance from 6 to 16ohms. and the Control 1 has a nominal impedance of 4, First I thought it's only 2 ohms under specs and later I found the impedance curve of the speaker wich ilustrates a greater demand of power below 100hz.(10ohm)
The center channel is "cut" at 100hz in the receiver set up, so it will never reach the point where low freq's demand 4 ohms right? (55hz)

You're probably safe. You are correct that the 100hz high pass will reduce the current draw for your center speaker, and at 10 ohms it won't be drawing that much anyway. I would imagine the Marantz to have some thermal protection circuitry built in, too. Unless it's running smoking hot or shutting down, I'd just roll with it.
