Title: More on Fuses
Post by nsj on 01/15/10 at 18:49:47

I notice that on the fuse holder on my Torii Mk2, it states "Use only with a 250V Fuse". Also, on the bottom of the Decware power cord it says "10A 250V".

However, both the original (blown) fuse and the spare fuse in my amp are 6A 125V. What fuses do you others have in your Torii's and what is the proper fuse?

I wonder if that is what has caused both Bill's and my issues?

Neil,

Mine came with a 5A 125V fuse.  The unit came directly from Decware as a new unit, so I assume that is what is supposed to be there.

Unless I am mistaken, you all should be using "fast blow" fuses for this gear. Look in the manual for a definitive answer.

I recall that when I visited my local Radio Shack to get fuses for my MLB they were so damn retarded that they did not carry what I needed. I ended up ordering fuses directly from DECWARE, which is a sane option, rather than aggravating you life driving around looking for these.

RR,

That's certainly a viable option. Where do you usually order tubes from - Decware as well?
