hi steve, is the Valve Art 350B will work safely as well in the Mini torii?
i can't find the spec but anonced as 6L6 direct replacement.

The only thing that could happen is that it might bias up too high causing the 6x4 rectifier tube some stress. Just watch the 6x4 carefully when you start the amp after trying the 350B. If it doesn't start getting brighter you're ok.

the VA 350B works perfectly in the Mini Torii , same color for the rectifier. and the sound is terrific
much better than the stock 6V6 .
better image , more weigth, super voices , very sweet sound but all the details is here.
and best of all 39$ the pair :P

Thanks a lot for the tip. I also bought the VA 350B after I saw your post, and god what an improvement ! The sound is warm, full, very dynamic,lots of muscle in every department (bass, mids, highs) , nice clean highs, deep and articulate bass, sweet voices. :)
The mini-torii is on steroids ! It can't get better (may be with a WE 350 B ?)
I use the mini torii with the CSP 2.

You all may want to change rectifiers when using such a beefy tube. I have a 7-pin to 9-pin adapter allowing me to use a 6CA4/EZ81, or 6V4/EZ80.
