Title: Half a wedge ???
Post by HT-EXT on 07/28/09 at 18:51:36

I have finish my last project about a month ago. Time for something else to take up my free time. I am considering building a half wedge for the Dayton Classic 18". I have a one 18" laying around and hate to see it go to waste. I not sure about the scaling issues so I use WinISD to design a sealed enclosure and will prolly take a guess at the port size. Experiments are always fun.

Any questions or comments welcome. Heck any help would be nice.

DIM for now:  24"(W) x 21"(H) x 24"(D)
Port dim: ???

Don't know about the Dayton Classic 18, but I've been VERY impressed by both the Dayton Classic (15") Woofer and the Dayton Classic (15") sub.  For the money, I don't think you can beat them.

I agree with that. The cost is low and the quality is excellent. I will prolly make another baffle that can bolt up were the 18" goes and try the Series II 15". Might as well have them duke it out to see which is better. Thanks for the reply.

One has been mocked up and the other is on the chopping block.

DIMS: 18.75" x 24" x 25.5"

PORT or OPENING: 4" x 22.5"

Very impressive.   126db@ 40Hz   (250w   +/- 20w)

As you requested.

These started as Iso-loaded (2)18" ported enclosure 36" x 24" x 25.5". I simply cut it in half and started a new build.
