Title: 6 hour build well worth it wicked is #1
Post by zaldivar1 on 11/28/07 at 06:04:27

it took me 6 hours to make this box the new 10s i used clame 98bd@ 1 watt/ 1 meter. im pussing them with 1200 watts. i have a small 3 door ford focus x3. and let me tell you omg. i have a new alpine cd player and at #17 not even half valuum. the cd started spipping and i found it hard to breath sitting in the car. thank god for remote controle. well worth the time to make the box. it was vary complicated but once you get the right angle it all falls together fast.

thats so unfair, lol... you took 6 hours to make it!!! took me 3 months (from starting to completing)! well my working time is probably around 12 hours actually. but its taken me practically 360 times longer than you :P

take it easy on your ears, once them sound receivers are damaged, you can never repair them, he he...

cheers.

how loud the enclosure is in relation to the HU's volume means nothing...depends on your gain settings.

But anyway congrats on the build.

I still have yet to build me a Wicked One.  Maybe spring time

the funny thing is i had to turn the gain way low becouse there was so much bass it sounded kinda distorted . the gain is just past half way. with my old box i used the gain about 3/4. funny i put the gain 1/4 turn down and still have more bass then my old box

no its not ported at the rear. the box just fits in the back of my car if it was facing the back it would be butted up and the sound would be too baffaled. so im kinda forsed to set the box facing the front.

yes i know it looks hard but its not. just just your top and bottom bord to the size you want. then fallow the diretions on the plans with a pecil. after you draw all the lines as it discribs go over only the lines you will need with a marker. then do the same on the back side of the bord. this will help by showing you were to put your screws to hit all the bords on the top side.
