Title: Imperial for home theater sub
Post by stvcmty on 02/28/07 at 04:28:14

I took my imperial, replaced the full range driver with a 2nd car audio sub.  Now it is being used for the .1 channel for surround sound.

It reproduces deep sound effects better than any sub I have used so far.

It presents a 4 ohm load, two 8 ohm drivers in parallel.  It is being run off half a Samson servo 120a amplifier, so 60 watts max, and it makes painful spl’s with the amp only being driven to half.

I graduate in the spring, soon I will have a job, and I will have money and time to build a proper pair of imperials.
