Title: installing DHM108B into DB Post by Bird_Man on 12/20/06 at 22:33:51 I have began work on my DB and I can not wait to get it all together. I have all the pieces cut out and ready to put together but in the instructions there is a small lip around the 10'' circle cutout however the directions say nothing about it. Should I just cutout a 10'' circle and screw the DHM108B into place or should I make a lip. If so, what are the dimensions? Thanks for the help. |

Title: Re: installing DHM108B into DB Post by Bird_Man on 12/27/06 at 00:03:45 Ok I just did some measurements, and if the hole for the sub woofer is 9.5'' in diameter, does that leave enough room for the DHM108B to be screwed in? there is only 1/4'' between the screw holes and the subwoofer hole. Or should I cut a 9.25'' hole instead? also Will is be ok to make the height of the outer box 1'' shorter? thanks for the help. |

I'm running the sub on a Pioneer 800 Watt Amp and it seems to be working well. I know the sub has to "break in" over time. But is there anything else I should be doing to prepare the sub other than slowly building up the volume over time. |

just use it like normal dont be afraid to turn it up :) and, try positioning the box in many different locations forward backwards down up etc, it will change perormance significantly. and eventually you will find the position that works best in your enviroment. |

On my Amp I have the sub boost on 0, the LPF set half way, the gain is set to normal and I have the sub half way turned up on my head unit. The sound is incredible. I haven't yet turned in around but I will give it a try. |

Title: Re: installing DHM108B into DB Post by 60ndown on 12/30/06 at 20:00:32 turn it around so the port/opening fires towards the rear of the car(100% guarentee it will sound MUCH BETTER), x over a little lower than 100, 80 or 60 is best, and turn that motha up, and sand the edges of the openng smooth when you get a chance. |
