Title: WO for 4 10's Post by Ntrain2k on 05/21/06 at 04:15:32 Is there a way to build a wicked one for 4 10 in a non isobarik setup, or would I be best to just build a "doubled" (1 on top of the other) wicked one? |
Title: Re: WO for 4 10's Post by Adrian D. on 05/21/06 at 05:58:27 you can build 2 on top of each other. but i guess that's an option only if you want to save 1 36"/36" panel. imo, you'd still need 1 panel to separate the boxes. then there's the weight disatvantage and size disatvantage. 1 double wo would be heavy and darn big... so my opinion : build 2 wos and put one on top of the other. |

Title: Re: WO for 4 10's Post by J_Rock on 05/23/06 at 22:15:43 If size and weight are not an issue: Build another sealed chamber to the side or on top of the compression chamber of a single WO. Then you have 2 x the surface area of a single 10, in the same size, except the two nubs sticking out with the volume of the rear chamber. |

Is this for use in a car? Home theater? PA? I'd build two seperate boxes for maximum portability and flexibility. But then, my major interest is PA. The other thing is, it's a proven design and you'll be investing a great deal of money and material. It will be nice to have it work the first time. |
Title: Re: WO for 4 10's Post by Ntrain2k on 05/24/06 at 23:05:41 The box(s) will be going in the rear of my 1997 Astro van. If they work out good for me I might end up scaling the design up some and doing some for 4 RE XXX 18's.... |

Wow... I am trying the same with 12"s in my Astro... well, maybe. You made any head way with yours yet? |
