uhm, what do you want us to tell you?

thers not a single question there except for the thread title, but your 4 db experience should give you your answer.

but if your question is wether you can get 2 10 inch DBs out of one 4 x 8 sheet of mdf, i can, but its very tight, and I leave a few pieces out.

If you are talking DB12s, no way.

Wow, it's actually pretty easy. I just drew it out to spec, and have about 3.5ft^2 of board left.

EDIT-that 3.5ft^2 of extra is doing some rough math. Plugging everything into a calculator, if this were a perfect world, there would be about 5.5ft^2 extra.

EDIT-None of the numbers for extra wood is counting the cutouts for speakers/ports/etc.

Jet, that post shows how anal retentive you are (that's a good thing in my book).  :D

Just one more question for that number crunchin' brain of yours; How much (in cubic inches) sawdust does that create?  :-*

You really wanna know?

1/4" blade = ~125.7in^3(1/14ft^3) of sawdust, assuming it's repacked to it's original density. A solid block about 5x5x5 inches.

1/8" blade = ~62.86in^3(1/28ft^3) of sawdust, assuming it's repacked to it's original density. A solid block about 4x4x4.

Look at the time of post and the time of the edit. It didn't take me very long to calculate that out.

nah, not yet.

I'm gonna have to take a little bit for that kW question, gettin' ready to eat lunch.

I asked McD's for no pickle or onion, it's got about 5 slices of pickles and sliced and diced onions.  :o :o :o :o :o They're gettin' a pretty nasty call from me here in a couple minutes.

This is NOT meant to offend anyone on here, as it's a reference to the local population only.

EDIT-Removed anyway.

75% of the mexican population here either doesn't speak english, or doesn't act like it. I'm sick of getting my orders wrong after driving 20 minutes to get it.

I'm not racist, at all, but there are good and bad people in every nationality.

One of my two best friends is mexican.

EDIT-If someone doesn't appreciate this being up, or is offended, just say so. I have no problem removing it. EDIT-I did anyway, just 'cause.

Well, figure about 1 hour of solid cutting (never timed myself doing non-stop cutting), you got 1.65kW using single phase (110vac @ 15a).

I think I understand, however, our minorities are trained differently than yours in Arkansas

Oh, the diagram of cuts, that I drew out, is based off of 5 cuts that would bring the 4x8 sheet of MDF down to 6 pieces small enough to fit into my Escort.

My best bud hails from San Diago Chile [sp?]
But even HE 'goes off' regarding the average population.

You have to drive 20 minutes to McD?  Wow.  They are space conviently 5 minutes apart from each other up here in Minnesota....

Also:  You cannot fit 2 DBs on one sheet.  I tried it.  Hell, you can hardly fit 1 if you double up everywhere you need.

I can scan the layout tomorrow, if need be. It's really easy to fit two on one sheet, especially since they're made 49x97 now instead of 48x96.

I thought you could build two DB10's out of one 4x8 sheet. When I get a 4x8 sheet it's a little over, Jet's/lee's right. That accounts for the thickness of the blade. I use a new sheet for the outside and use scraps inside if I can.
I think that you may not have it reinforced at the driver mount and lid, I can't seem to find the cut list I made up. I always draw out my cuts on paper before I start slicing.

I draw out my cuts as well. I've got every piece, listed on the plans, drawn out. Wish these were'nt paid for plans, then I'd just post it up, but...
