Title: Quad loading HWK12?
Post by HT-EXT on 02/23/06 at 17:57:48

I want to quad load a HWK12 and do not like the idea of putting the speakers directly together(clamshell). What if I made a piece of 3/4 MDF with the same hole as the baffle and then make a recess to fit over the woofer that is installed in the top baffle. Next bolt the other woofer to the extra 3/4 piece. This would at least give you a 3/4 inch safety margin. Of course you would do this top and bottom. Please let me in on any good info. THANKS

Your way will work fine.

The easiest way I do it is to just run bolts through the speakers and baffle and bolt them down.

A speaker on each side of the baffle.
