Title: Won't fit
Post by M3 on 01/31/06 at 20:48:13

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I own a 1995 BMW 3er e36 coupè (two door sedan) and want fit this box into my trunk but 36" is too much, can I redesign the box? I'm thinking about 32x32.

There is the WO32 design, which isn't a bandpass. I've also made a modified WO that is 24x24x13.5, that I've dubbed the HOWO24 aka High Output Wicked One - 24". The "High Output" because it shares principles with JL Audio's HO boxes. "Wicked One" because it is basically a WO with relocated drivers, and "24" because that's how wide/long it is.

I have not heard a true WO32, or WO, as I don't have the room for it. But my HOWO24 sounds unbelieveable in my Escort.

My max width is 35 with the moquette betwin the shock towers.

I think it'd sound so close you wouldn't notice the difference.

Ok, do you suggest 35x24 or 35x35?

my two cents

35 X 35 if you have to.
but try to get it close, that way there is less room for error.
thats not a whole lot as Jet says.

the WO is such a nice box and you can mess with it and it still can shine ( most of the time).
just stay as close as possible, some do not have the luck with hacks as others do.

What type of sub can I use with the box? Can you post some pics of sedan cars with the box installed?

you can use any 10 designed for sealed boxes. the meanest i've seen on the forum was a wo with 2 re xxx 10. 20$ subs also work. i've used a 20$ sub in a db-10, and it sounded excelent. i say choose an infinity ref 1040w if you're not too much into spl and don't have a lot of $$ to spend on subs.
i guess you want the pics to see where is the box firering ? in my opinion, point it backwars.

I got mine pointed forwards, but I have no dampening on the rear of the trunk and it sounds like ass.

I was meaning, if you have 35" of room, make it 35". Just be sure that once you make it, you can get it in there.
