Title: Damage to house stories Post by Bob on 01/17/06 at 15:50:06 Anyone have any cool stories about cracked drywall, broken glass? How do you raise your WAF after damage to broken trinkets around the house? Anyone had any problems with damage / shortened life to front projection bulbs? Bob |
Title: Re: Damage to house stories Post by paulc on 01/17/06 at 19:30:53 Hi Bob, Some may think that the term "Housewrecker" is a joke. IT'S NOT! I have built three of them, all 15", over the last four years. Gave one away, sold one. I use mine for home theater and not for any serious music listening. The first one was used in a old farm house and I succeeded in knocking a bunch of plaster down from the ceiling in a closet next to the livingroom. I now live in a 100 year old all brick home. The foundation of my home is all brick also. I have noticed that the morter between the bricks in that foundation below my HT room is disintegrating at a higher rate than normal. Someone I know has discontinued the use of his very large subwoffer because of the damage to his cement foundation. To much of a good thing has a stiff price. |
