Title: Connecting 1 REL T5x Sub with Bridged SE84UFO2.1s?
Post by Gabe on 06/14/26 at 22:16:41

Hey Folks, I'm curious how I may go about connecting a REL T5x sub with two SE84UFO2.1's I've got bridged together.

Prior to getting the second SE84UFO2.1 into my system, I used the high level connection between amp and sub.

I read an old post about someone that had 2 SE84UFO25s with 2 active subs wired directly from the speaker terminals to the corresponding high level inputs of the subs. Do I need  a second sub?

For reference, I'm using a WiiM pro Plus as my input that feeds a Zrock2 and that then gets fed to the amps.

Thank you and Happy Listening!

Gabe

Do you need a second sub….maybe/maybe not.  A lot depends on your room acoustics and the potential for standing sound waves.  Adding a second sub can fix that with parallel walls.  It gets a bit technical and you will have to take some room measurements…so I would do some reading on standing sound waves.

Using the high level speaker inputs on the sub is a preferred method by most here on the forum.  My setup is a bit different only because of my room setup and the optimal placement for my sub.  In my system I utilize the Decware ZSB switch box which has 4 inputs and 2 pairs of RCA outputs.  When I was building my house, I had run a pair of RCA cables in the wall. One set of the RCA outputs go to my CSP preamp, and the second pair are connected to the sub which is located on a side wall.

Hope this helps.

If you're using the Neutrix connector (and even if you're not), REL has specific instructions for connecting to balanced differential amps. I'd check their website and/or search Youtube videos. IIRC, when connecting one sub from the speaker terminals, you connect both speakers to the single sub, I just can't remember exactly how...
