System changes (never-ending) have resulted in the inability to use several mint condition tubes, all with less than 200 hrs of use, which I now offer for sale. They are as follows:
Northern Electric 6SN7 tube. The latest Northern Electric 6SN7 vacuum tube has a wide and accurate sound-stage. This 6SN7 preamp tube has low noise floor which helps provide fantastic clarity and detail. Low end is tight and detailed. The midrange is sweet and magical. The highs are airy and warm. The new Tung-Sol 7581A vacuum tube an upgraded 6L6GC tube, but it will provide more headroom than typical 6L6GC tubes. The 7581-A power tube has a plate dissipation rating of 35W, as opposed to the 6L6GC and 7581 rating of 30W. The 7581A tube can be used in any 6L6 based tube circuit. Balanced, is the first word that comes to mind when I think about the sound. Other descriptive words include detailed, rich, and responsive. The bass response, midrange, and treble are all balanced. Very rich sounding with enough shimmer and harmonics to put a smile on your face. New price was $100; I am asking $65, and I will cover USPS shipping.
