Title: Amp Suggesions for Klipsch Forte IV
Post by BongRattlingBass on 05/22/25 at 18:38:50

Newbie here thinking of getting a Decware amp and phono preamp. I am considering getting on the waitlist for the TORII JRv2 and the ZP3 phono preamp so I wanted to see if any existing Klipsch Heritage users for Forte IV users have had any experience with the mentioned Decware amps or other amp pairings. Have a great holiday weekend!

I don't know if this might apply to your Klipsch Heritage, but I found this review thoughtful and well written.

What makes you pick the TORII JRv2 over of another Decware amp? I am curious of your thought process more than anything else.

What is the rest of your system like? How big is your room? How loud do you listen to music and/or movies?

I have had Forte IV in the past. I sold them and elected to stick with my Forte II as my main system speakers when I downsized to one main system.

I am using them with the TORII JRv2, but I also have other Decware amps that I switch in from time to time.

A picture of my beloved TORII JRv2...

Currently, I run it wide open with my DAC controlling volume for music, TV, and movies. My ZBIT is at 1500 mark. I currently run everything including amp and sub into a PS Audio P20.

I used a SE84UFO25 with Heresy IIIs for about a year, then now for the last six months with Forte IVs. Couldn’t be happier.  Some question the low power of the amp, but I’ve enjoyed playing as loud as I want in my 16’ x 20’ open-on-the-sides living room. A caveat is that I stream through a tricked out ZROCK2 and a CSP3-25th, both of which add clean gain. Given a choice, I’d not hesitate to take the path I’ve taken again. Any superlatives I’d offer wouldn’t do justice to the thrills I get hearing a clean recording.

I too enjoy my 2 watt UFO2.1 with Heresy I’s refurbished through Crites in Arkansas. I do use with an Audio Research tube preamp that allows for gain riding. I typicaly set my amp volume in the 2 oclock position and from there adjust gain switch on amp and multi gain settings on pre-amp. My room is 15 x 15 x 9 and listen up to 90 DB without strain or fidelity loss. I’ve had my amp since fall 2023 and it will always be my system anchor!

There's a Tori Jr. V2 in the classifieds right now.
