Title: 274B Rectifier and Rachael Post by Alan Arkin on 10/05/24 at 12:02:58 Hi there... I am relatively new to tube rolling with my Rachael. I've rolled the input and output tubes without incident and recently bought a Sophia 274B Aqua II rectifier. I noticed that the pin configuration is different than the Decware branded rectifier that I have. Do I need an adapter to use the 274B? Just wanted to check. Thanks! -- Alan |

These adapters are relatively easy to find online, especially from places that specialize in high-end audio tubes or components. They’re typically designed to allow you to use a tube with a different base type in a socket that doesn't natively fit it. Make sure to get one that’s compatible with the 5AR4/GZ34 socket for your Rachael and the 5-pin configuration of the 274B. Once you have that, the tube should work fine, and you can start enjoying the benefits of the Sophia 274B! |
