Title: Anyone want to take my spot. March 2023 Post by TKonradNOLA on 09/18/24 at 01:55:47 As I near retirement, I find it harder and harder to spend money on gear. I have a Sarah on order. Anyone want to take my spot and pay the 10% to me? if this is not allowed feel free to delete this post. |

Title: Re: Anyone want to take my spot. March 2023 Post by JBzen on 09/18/24 at 16:11:31 Got the PM and replied. It would be best to call Decware and explain your situation. If Decware will do a switch and refund your money and charge me, I'm in. But, Decware may just refund you and drop your spot which seems like a fairer deal for all involved. Give them a call and let me know how it went. |
Title: Re: Anyone want to take my spot. March 2023 Post by HiFi Bri on 09/19/24 at 22:46:37 I was informed recently that this is not allowed, as it's unfair to those waiting in line. |
Title: Re: Anyone want to take my spot. March 2023 Post by TKonradNOLA on 09/20/24 at 01:57:23 I did email them today and found out the same information. It is not allowed. Looks like I will be doing ONE more HiFi purchase. I do not want to forfeit my 10% deposit. |
Title: Re: Anyone want to take my spot. March 2023 Post by maddog07 on 09/26/24 at 21:04:01 I think what they do, when you cancel, is they call the next person in order on the list for that model, and offer them your spot... so essentially the list moves up one. But it probably depends on where they are on your order, i.e. if they've ordered parts for your build yet, have the parts pulled for your build, etc. They will do whatever is most fair and equitable to all - that has been my experience with Decware in the past. |
