Title: DHC3 - Which Component? Post by bloodlemons on 03/19/24 at 04:59:09 As of tomorrow, I'll have a ZMA, ZP3 and CSP3. I have three DHC2 cables and a recently acquired DHC3. I'm wondering which component will be best served by the DHC3. Any experience or opinions on the topic out there? |
Title: Re: DHC3 - Which Component? Post by Lon on 03/19/24 at 09:56:55 I would start with the DHC-3 on the power amp. And then play around with it in each component. . . but I think it may best serve the amp. |

Title: Re: DHC3 - Which Component? Post by DanG on 01/16/25 at 18:12:30 I purchased one DHC3. I was using DHC1 everywhere else. I tried the DHC3 first on the amp, SE84UFO, and then I tried it on the CD player. I felt there were improvements both ways. If I could only have only one DHC3 I'd probably place it with the amp. But once I heard it on the source, too, I suspected I had to have it on both amp and source. So I purchased another DHC3. I'm glad I did. This is some of the best bang-for-buck improvement in my system. Improved detail on the instruments. Better overall sense of the soundstage. Better location within the soundstage. A surprising improvement in depth (and front/back location) in the soundstage. THE DHC3 is heavier and stiffer than the DHC1, but I was able to replace all my DHC1 with DHC3. It's made a big difference, improved things in ways I didn't expect. I'm very happy I went for the upgrade to DHC3. |
Title: Re: DHC3 - Which Component? Post by Flyr on 04/29/25 at 04:20:23 I installed 2 DHC3 from My DAC and ZMA. immediate improvement to my whole system was not what I was expecting. I'm going to replace the remaining XLRs with these really great cable's. Thanks Steve. |
