Title: New Owner Zen Triode Integrated Post by Andy OG on 12/18/23 at 02:16:50 My Zen Triode Integrated arrives in a couple days and I have no idea what to do with it. I have a pair of Klipsch 600m speakers and that’s it. Can I just buy a turntable and connect it directly to the amp and I’m good to go? Any suggestions for streaming setups? I’m thinking IPad to Ares 12th Anniversary, to Zen Triode … ? Or is the Cambridge CXN V2 still really great? Or is the EverSolo DMPA6 as good, better? Thanks! |
Title: Re: New Owner Zen Triode Integrated Post by Lon on 12/18/23 at 03:01:42 Almost every turntable needs a "preamp" (a phono preamp circuit within a pre-amplifier) so you do need that in between the turntable and the Zen Triode amp. You could run a cd player straight into the amplifer, or some streamers etc. |
Title: Re: New Owner Zen Triode Integrated Post by GroovySauce on 12/18/23 at 12:45:13 The Cambridge CXN V2 is a solid choice. It will give you a good DAC and streaming. You can use streaming services Qobuz, Tidal and Spotify. You will need a phono stage between your TT and amp. |

Denafrips DACs are outstanding, esp. for the money, but if you are looking to stream I think you'll get better results using a dedicated streamer like the Cambridge vs. your iPad. |

Title: Re: New Owner Zen Triode Integrated Post by Leonardo Warner on 01/08/24 at 01:23:22 You do need a "preamp" (a phono preamp circuit within a pre-amplifier) between the turntable and the Zen Triode amp as almost all turntables require one. |
