Title: 7 Pin Straightener Post by Kamran on 12/04/23 at 01:44:30 Is there a 7 pin straightener for voltage regulator tubes? I love my Decware ZPIN but would now also like to have the flexibility to straighten 7 pin tube types. Riverstone Audio pops up as the one resource that provides a dual end straightener with 9 pin on one side and 7 pin on the other, but they are out of stock on Amazon at the moment. |
Title: Re: 7 Pin Straightener Post by CAJames on 12/04/23 at 02:22:41 I’m a bit of a pin straightener nerd, and while I have a 7 pin straightener with my tube tester I don’t recall ever seeing stand alone straighteners. What I would recommend if you don’t have them already is 7 pin socket savers. Agree the Decware straightener is super nice. |

Title: Re: 7 Pin Straightener Post by CAJames on 12/04/23 at 04:10:28 Now that you mention it, it seems like it would be pretty easy to put a 7 pin straightener on the other end of the ZPIN. Steve????? |
Title: Re: 7 Pin Straightener Post by Kamran on 12/04/23 at 05:30:13 I was thinking about that too! Considering Decware is big on voltage regulator tubes, it would be super convenient to have both pin types addressed in one body. |
Title: Re: 7 Pin Straightener Post by GroovySauce on 12/04/23 at 12:39:49 I bought one on ebay that is 9 pin one side and 7 pin the other. The Decware 9 pin feels much better to use than the duel straightener I have. |
