Title: Deciding between a 34I.5 or going to 34I.6 Post by thevinoman on 03/09/23 at 22:45:03 I currently have a 34I.5 with two pairs of inputs and dual volume controls ordered. (no anniversary mods....yet) I would like to upgrade to the level 2 anniversary mods. However, I am wondering if upgrading to the 34I.6 (which does not have dual volume controls would be worthwhile. I would like to keep the two pairs of inputs, but am concerned about losing the 2 separate volume controls, which is not possible on the 34I.6, as only a single volume control can be configured on the unit. Any advice? Please and thank you. If this is confusing please let me know so that i can perhaps explain a bit better based on the info I have received from Decware. |

I would NOT, n-o-t not give up dual volume controls. With these you need not be concerned about a balance problem or a weak input or power tube on one side. Just send the amp in for as many modifications that you think would elevate it further. |

He explained to me sonically there was no real benefit for me from a .5. It was very comforting :) I'd also agree that the dual volume controls are incredibly useful to have. |
