Mike,

It was some pretty impressive veneer, I had a heck of a time with the veneer pulling away from its backer. We ended up re-veneering the edges from the "V" grove to the edge, but it all turned out alright. We buy all our veneer from Tape ease and they had some new Birdseye sent to replace what we had for the trouble we went thru. Very stand up company in my opinion. At 350.00 plus, they didn't hesitate.

We are all still waiting to see the pictures of your HDT build.....

Lon,

What do you think of the white...everyone thought they were going to look hideous, then they all changed there mind once they saw them finished....I like them ;D

I think the color looks very nice Bob. Sort of a Fender "Olympic White" . . . I have a Stratocaster in that color (nitro finish) that I love the look of.

Thanks Don, I like the white myself, actually Steve finished his NFX's in white, and I always liked them, I was just afraid the contrast between the white and black might be too much, now that I've lived with them for a few months, its just right.

The sound is just right too!!! 8-)

Bob, concerning the HDTs I have had only snippets of time but promise I will post the whole build shortly. Maybe I can the finished pics out then do the build sequence. Stay tuned.......

Not as much as I like listening to the "Oh so original one" That Torri is Steve's original that he took to the unbelievable limits of fidelity...its a bit tube hungry but sounds so so good. There isn't another one exactly like it!!!
