Title: Testing SV83 Tubes Post by jizosattva on 12/14/09 at 20:40:57 I would like to test some of my SV83 tubes on my tube tester but my tester does not give settings to test the SV83. Is there a different tube out there that has equivalent pin, voltage, heat settings etc... that my tester gives settings for so that I can test my SV83s? I have seen info saying that the SV83 is equivalent to the 6P15P and the EL83. However, when looking up those tubes on my tester the set up numbers for each is different. Can anyone tell me if I could use the numbers of either one of these tubes to test the SV83? Thanks all. |
Title: Re: Testing SV83 Tubes Post by Rivieraranch on 12/15/09 at 01:42:07 You need to specify which tester you have. Also, it strikes me that this question might be answered more quickly over on the Antique Radio Forums in the Test Equipment Discussion section. |

Title: Re: Testing SV83 Tubes Post by Jason on 12/16/09 at 15:33:50 Same tester... I just test them as el84's, maybe a little less on the sesitivity dial to keep it on the meter. I compare readings to new tubes for a relative idea of their output. I know it's probably not correct so if anyone has better info I'd like it too. Same with 6n1p & 6n2p. Jason |
