Caintuck Audio Baffle Care
05/20/25 at 11:35:05

In order to maintain my Curled Cherry baffles made by Randy, once a year I do the following: first thoroughly clean all dust off the baffles with a clean rag. Next:apply a light coat of mineral oil to the wood using a clean cotton cloth and let dry and soak into the wood for 36 hours. Finally apply a good quality cutting board butter (beeswax & mineral oil mixture) and let dry for 24 hours. Then buff gently with a microfiber cloth.

This not only keep the baffles looking great but more importantly maktains the the wood from cracking and splitting over time.

Hello HockessinKid,

Many thanks for the suggestion .....

A product that I use which also works well is Howard Feed-N-Wax.

Happy listening,
Randy
