WTB Be careful.

Be careful if you post a WTB ad.  I posted one and had 2 scammers contact me sellling an item with a photo they found on the internet.  (you can use google image search to see if their photo is somewhere on the internet).

Now I just sold my amp to a guy that posted a WTB.  We talked on the phone before doing the deal.  He could tell I was a real Decware enthusiast.  Talking on the phone is one of the best ways to be safe.  Often scammers on in foreign countries, don't speak good english, and can't talk to you on the phone.

If you are uneasy, don't send money.  Escrows can be scams too.  If you want to use an escrow, you set it up.  Scam buyers can send you links to fake escrow sites.

This is nothing to do with the Decware forums.  It happens on all the forums.

Not saying not to use WTB ads, but expect you may get scammers contacting you.   Be careful out there.

Good luck.
Jerry
