Best sound I’ve ever had. Heavily modded Zu Dw for rockin out and Omegas for when I want the speakers to disappear for late night bliss. Heaven.

MyBlueSky- Nice looking set up, I'm sure it sounds wonderful. Are you happy with the Sumiko MC Cartridge? Happy listening, Chris.

Thanks Chris,
The system has always been very engaging but the recent addition of the Venus ll dac has transformed it beyond my expectations.
The Blue point is a great cartridge, very detailed, I hear things I’ve never heard before on tracks I know well. The bass is tuneful but not powerful. The Z rock evens that out . I have the high output mc so no need for step up transformer.

Hi Tommy,
Thanks, I absolutely love them although I’ve modded them a bit. The results have been amazing, more detail, better imaging, soundstage feels 20 feet wide in my 12 foot wide room with well recorded tracks lol, I get the chills.
Most importantly for me is that they’ve acquired a less “in your face”presentation. Here’s a list of what I’ve done.

1 inch dowels sideways at both 12 and 24 inches from the top of the cabinet to decrease resonances.
Back and sides of the cabinet covered in No-rez  from GR research
100 microfarad Jupiter copper foil caps on the tweeter.
All new internal wiring, 14 gauge silver coated ofc.
Tube connectors from GR research
25 ohm resistors from ZU, makes the DW into an 8 ohm load.
2 inch elevation on 13 inch square walnut cutting boards, this brings the tweeter closer to my ear level. Probably most of the reason that detail and imaging has gotten so much better!
