SE84C fuses

Hi, all.  I've looked at all of the search results mentioning "fuses," and I've looked at my SE84C's manual, and I'm just not sure what size fuse to put in here.  It has now blown its 2nd or 3rd 250V3A fuse (over 10-15 years), and I'm out of 3A fuses.  I'm sure I can throw a 5A fuse in there to get it running, but is that too big a fuse to leave in my SE84C?  Thanks.

You should use a 3 Amp fuse. A 5 amp may be okay as a stopgap but. . .it's dangerous to use one, I wouldn't recommend it. Best to get another 3 Amp to use.

Eagle -  Sorry to hear that, but I agree with Lon. Get a bag of 3A on order so you have them around. If you want to play with the fancy fuses, please post what your experiences are. I just landed a bag of 33 fuses since I have some NOS rectifiers and 807's coming in, and it seems something always goes south when I roll some tubes. Happy listening soon, Chris.

Thanks guys.  I just wanted it up and running again.  I'm not a super deep listener -- I have my SE84C connected to my Apple Airport Express, and connected to some speakers my friend built when he owned this amp.  We use it almost daily at dinnertime, streaming something like Ella Fitzgerald or Louis Armstrong while we eat.

Anyway, I bought a 10-pack of 250V3A fuses from Amazon, and they work well enough.
