socket savers?

Hi all,

With tube rolling, is this a sensible idea with the Decware equipment, or a waste of time?

If worthwhile, what brands/sellers do you recommend?

I have some cheap chinese-mfd. savers purchased on ebay that I had used with my now-sold push-pull amp.

Brad

Thanks rivier. Indeed, I just purchased a better form of chinese savers in the form of ceramic base and gold plated pins.

Shipping delays all around the world have been a consequence of the virus. I just got a package from Japan that I ordered on March 15. Patience is needed in this new age, at least for now. . . .

Hi all,

I'm new to Decware, but I've been rolling tubes for a long time. And IMO if you are rolling noval socket tubes (9 pin like 12AX7, 6DJ8 etc) at least as important as socket savers is using a pin straightener, every time. I use the one that came with my tube tester but it looks like Decware sells a very nice one or you can get Mullards on ebay if you want some NOS UK cache.
