Decfest 2017 Demo Tunes Thread
08/03/17 at 15:24:29

I've had a couple people ask me about Demo Tunes I'll be bringing to the 2017 Decfest - I've posted my list a couple times in the forums (not really finding it with this clunky search feature), and my list hasn't really changed in a few years, though I keep saying I'm going to update/evolve it.

I thought I'd start a thread about demo tracks you plan on using or prefer to use in general, and see what percolates. Maybe we can all find some great new tracks!

Also, this would be a great time to share any Tidal or Spotify playlists with your fellow Decwarians. I know I've seen some Spotify lists in the past, so share them up!

I'll post my current list (again) later when I have some time away from work.  ;D

Don't everyone jump in at once! LOL

Wow, the forums have been dead lately - I'm guessing everyone is out enjoying the weather and Live shows.

I'll see about posting some lists tonight in between other projects.  :P

Thanks Dave.  I have that Dick Hyman.   Good sound, good tunes.

Like Raven, my demo list needs updating.

I did check out a number of Paul at PS Audio's demo selections from is Paul's Posts.  Some good songs in there.

I'm going to link to those Paul's posts, I've just been so busy with work and traveling for work, I've not had any time for this. October is going to come quickly! So I'd like to share my list, and get other suggestions soon!

Looking forward to October in East Peoria .....

Some of the best music in my collection was first heard at Decware Zen Fests and I expect to add more this year .....

A link to some of my "demo" goodies can be found here.

Happy listening,
Randy

Nice list, Randy! Thanks for sharing! I bought a couple of those after hearing them at the last Decfest where you brought those discs.

Also, I think Blue Coast Records may have had some Quiles & Cloud in native DSD. I'll have to check.

You're welcome LR.  I still need to go through Paul's lists myself and see what is available on Tidal (my single source for music these days).  My ZMA is sitting on top of my PS Audio PWT, which isn't even plugged in (not sure that makes any sense).

Anyway, I have been extremely busy with work and life these days, so listening hasn't been a priority for me (although music is almost always playing in the background).

Trying to wake this thread up again since we are days away from meeting up!

I have several of these albums in my collection - just thought I'd post these lists up for others to consider.

https://www.stuff.tv/features/39-essential-albums-audiophiles

I see some crossover in these two lists, which tells me something about the albums chosen.  :)
