I tried it with OC3 and it was too "bass shy" for me. I'm really tempted to take them apart and roll an OC2 tube . . . but I've resisted the urge so far. The Type 80 tubes are nice in these amps, one day I'll try a pair of "globe" type 80s.

No other changes were made except putting in the 0D3. I was tempted to try the 0D3 from rereading this thread. I thought about rolling the 0C2, but I do not want to open my amps. I did get a spare set in case they stop working.

I've just put in a pair of RCA OD3 in the 25th Anniversary Monoblocks. Interestingly much better bass than the OC3, and I would have thought the opposite. Letting them warm up with some trippy Science Fiction from the DVR (The Expanse) which is sounding very nice, immersive and a bit mellower seeming so far. . . .

Thanks for bringing up your using the OD3 and keying me to look back to the early posts of the thread. These amps just keep on giving sonic steps!
