ZKIT Transformer

Can I use a 330-0-300 (Edcor XPWR178) instead of the Edcor XPWR107

You can. It is more expensive with a 3rd low volt winding, and the total secondary voltage being 60V higher will need to be accounted for in the series resistors or an added choke.
You will also have to account for any differences in wire color.

Is there a reason for the substitution? Availability maybe?

Thanks for your reply. I have one from another project that never went anywhere. Can you suggest a choke or resister?

I can try. Point me to the link of the schematic you are building from here on the Decware site.
The reason I request this, is that there are more than one I can find by doing a search and I want to give you as accurate an answer as I can.

Thanks again for your effort.

Here is the schematic:

I plan on purchasing the pcb from Decware.

I would look for at least a 10% increase in the resistance of the 1K 6W component. (Since the new secondary voltage is around 10% higher.)
1.1K is not the most standard value out there but 1.2K is.
You should be ok leaving the 6.8K 2W resistor as is.
Does Steve have a suggested Digikey, Newark, etc. part number for the 1K 6W part?
If so I can make a suggestion from the same store.
