TASCAM CD 200 AS A TRANSPORT ONLY
05/21/14 at 22:03:02

Will a TASCAM CD 200 work well as only A TRANSPORT ONLY to a high-end DAC?

Is so will, do you need the DECWARE mods to create a ZCD200i or are the DECWARE mods only to the analogue outputs (I will only be using coaxial digital output).

Please advise.

Peter,

If the CD player has a coaxial digital out, it can be used to feed a DAC. So yes on that front.

The changes that Decware makes to the TEAC are I believe entirely to the analog output stage.
