the Temperature of things
04/25/14 at 05:04:46

recently I bought a fluke IR thermometer for checking house leaks and temps of various  things like around our heating system and other things , tried it on my superzen ,transformer and tonight with the the white sn 018 zen select and notice considerable changes in temperature of these 2 amps the transformer of the superzen never went past 125 degrees f. the select older white model has gone to 130 + and the 6p15's were running over 310 degrees. the outputs in the superzen were about 230 degrees, anything to this ? just an observation !!!!both amps have the RCA5u4GB tall glass (sick of arcing 5u4's and 274's from China)

Same speakers. All I did was change amps . The transformer (power) is one of the 2 inch thick ones as compared to the super zens 1 1/2 inch thick one with the wrapped cover. Always thought more iron was better?!?!??? BTW did anyone see the price increase a certain Canadian supplier put on the Jupiter beeswax caps. Wow !!!
