$100 Option for 2nd pair of stereo outputs
09/04/11 at 07:08:12

Hi there,

I am seriously interested in getting this amp.

There is an option for an extra 2nd pair of stereo output for $100 extra.

Has anyone selected this option?

Please pardon me if there is already an answer to this out there.

I have tried to google for an answer and also used the search function but I can't find the specific answer to this.
I also downloaded the owners' manual but it also does not answer my questions below.

Q1. Difference between base config and having 2nd pair of Output
If one elects to have an extra 2nd pair of stereo outputs, is the mono output removed in the process?

Q2. Selection switch
I understand that there is a selection switch for A/B input.

But what about the output?

Q3. Exact use
(a) Will the 2 preamp and 1 headphone outputs be in active use at the same time?

(b)How exactly do you use the 2 stereo outputs in a practical manner?

For e.g., am I supposed to connect the 1st set of pre-amp to my powered amp and the 2nd set of pre-amp output to a subwoofer?

(c) Are there any other ways to use the 2nd stereo output?

Regards,

Fred

Hi Fred,

Here is a late reply to your question...  I recently had Steve add a second stereo output to my CSP, which does not have the mono output.  I am using both stereo outputs simultaneously to drive a powered subwoofer in addition to the SE34I.2.

In the prior configuration with only one stereo output, I was using a Y-adapter, but somehow there was some hum, maybe because of the quality of the connectors.  Now, the issue has been minimized.

Hope this gives an idea...  Best,

Alper

Dear Alper,

Thanks for your reply.

I did order the CSP2+ eventually with the 2nd RCA output.

BTW, I can't believe that I started this thread and wrote all those questions so many months ago.  [smiley=mir27.gif].

Hope you are having fun with your 2nd RCA output like I am at the moment.

Best Regards,

Fred
