Video Calibration

Hi All:

Not sure how much interest there will be here in this service, but last night, I got my Panasonic 720p Plasma Model TH-50PX600U calibrated by a professional calibrator. Fascinating process, and the difference it makes in the screen is very impressive.

I live in the Oakland Hills of the Bay Area, CA. I engaged Robert Jones of Image Perfection to calibrate my screen. I found Bob in the AVS Forums; very responsive & pleasant. Fair prices and policies. Based on work schedules, Bob and I picked yesterday, the summer solstice, to calibrate my set. My room has a lot of light, so we had to wait to get started until after 9:00pm. Bob showed up promptly, was very engaging and informative. He explained every step of his work, and double-checked his observations and adjustments with me. Bob spent over three hours on my set, and the resuts are excellent. For now, he has my set looking good enough to delay for a little while longer that VT30 I have been looking at. Highly recommended!

Pale,
Do you think it would help my 19" Somy (not a mis-spell) with a Goldstar VCR? Since they changed over to digital around here the picture is kind of snowey.

Welcome Abianne. Older model may not be worth the expense, but an honest calibrator will tell you that.
