can you use a E80cc in the place of the 12au7 in the Taboo, I have some of these and you could use them in another company in there pre-amp I had a few years ago. it was a better sounding tube than any of the 12au7`s I had in that unit. thanks Greg

Thanks ZIGI, I have a few of these tubes in my tube bag. I kick myself in the A$$ for not buying this amp sooner or any of the Decware stuff that I own, I have wasted so much money on that other junk over the years.

I have been looking different tubes, and note that the E180CC (7062) has a moo of about 40, twice what a 12AU7 has. It seems there are other alternatives, such as the 12AV7, which also has a moo of around 40. Then there are the 6829; 6072.
