Completed the ZKIT1 today and it woiks!  I've ordered 83's but had some EL84's to test it with a 6922 input

I saw the test voltage tolerances...but these were mine:
A = 325vdc
B = 283vdc
C = 12.7vdc
D  = 2.94vdc and 2.95vdc

0 detectable hum at full gain with some inefficient test speakers.

Now I'm waiting on my CSP2 to arrive...

Regards,
Hank

Well done Hank. BTW, I found that the 83's sounded a lot better on my system than the EL84s - tons more detail and realism, so that might be a good little upgrade.

Any pics of your build?

Thanks, Matt

It won't win the arts and crafts award, but it sounds great!  The "science fair" look sort of grows on you after a while. Wink

I've been using the CSP2 as a preamp between the SET amp and a CD deck.

Wondering iif upgrading my speakers with the Decware shelf speakers will net a big difference  89dB vs. 94dB sensitivity.

Regards,
Hank

I run my amp into a pair of these http://www.tektondesign.com/Model81en.html they sound ridiculously good and they will quite easily shake the walls. I can't wait to hear my zsp1 along with it when that's completed. Wink
