PEC pot

I have installed a PEC pot in my 84C. Yesterday, when the CDP was not playing, I noticed a 'scratchy' noise, when I moved the control. This only comes from the right channel. The left is dead quiet. The pot is new, with just about three months of use. Any suggestions??

WD40.  Best pot cleaner/lubricant I've ever tried, and I've tried a bunch of them over the years.  Assuming your PEC pot isn't so sealed up you can get some WD40 into it, just spray it down good, rotate back and forth a few dozen times, and the scratchy-ness should be gone.
