Hi Bill,

If you want flat response simply let the insert go all the way down until it stops.  This distance has been pre-determined to be the best response.  The only time you would raise the insert up off the stops would be to increase the boom and narrow the response.

amazing, I have it placed so the insert is right at the top of the throat and was floored at how it sounds. Great design ready to move on to the wicked one!! Thanks steve Grin

Ok I'm obviously a bit of a neophyte in this area. If the "stops" are the small legs on the bottom of the insert, and they are at the bottom of the cabinet the port opening is blocked. I assume "the bottom" is actually the start or top of the port throat. Sorry for being a pain in the ass Smiley
