If I remember right that sub is just about perfect for that enclosure. Do you plan on running two or just one?

I only have one, from an older project which in the new DBK212. I do have another one that is in an NHT sub box. Can two different woofers be used, as long as the specs are close? I think madisound has a woofer close to this one

That would be a NO-NO. When clamshelling subs they had better be identical or you will find out which one is the weaker of the two in the long run. You can get away with one 1259 in the DB212. I have heard a single DVC Dayton in the DB212 and it was impressive.

I plan on building the homewrecker, or the wicked one for our home theater. Any thoughts?

If you are wanting to know my favorite , that would be the WO36. Check the WO section for my WO410. I tried them all DB10, DB212, WO36, WO32, HWK8, HWK10, HWK12, and HWK15. After the HWK15 I knew I did not want to wrestle the HWK18. If you want the best bang for the buck the Inverted Wedge(half wedge) has the smallest foot print and impressive SPL numbers. HWKs will hold their own but their size is the only negative for me. If you would like more info let me know.

Greetings,
After listening to the db12 with my nht 1259 woofer I plan on  moving it from the garage shop to the home stereo where it will run with my definitive tec 10's should be a great match, and we have a perfect spot for it. I am very happy with this design. Now for your expertise, I need a sub enclosure for my garage shop... from your earlier thoughts, the inverted wedge would be the best bang for the buck. In addition, you're thoughts on drivers and amplification. Thanks so much
Bill

How big is your garage and how many subs do you have on hand?

The HWK works great for large areas and size of the enclosure should not matter if you have extra space in the garage. You will prolly need two subwoofers for the HWK for best results (IMHO).

If you don't like the size of the HWK then the Half Wedge will do. You will prolly need to add an additional piece to bottom of the enclosure to get the full effect of the wedge when used in the home/garage environmnet. If you would like more info let me know.

shop area is 900sq/ft with 12 ft ceilings. Concrete floor drywalled...you know perfect accoustics!! I have plenty of room for the HWK. would you suggest 2- 12's or increase to 2- 15's. Don't have any drivers yet

Either one will do but if it was me two 15"s. If you build the 12"s it will still kicka** but you will always wonder how much better 15"s could be. MY $0.02.
