Wow! This is another budget bin curiosity pickup that has paid off.

This "Zam Rock" album is a genuine trip. It is also the second disc in this set I'm listening to--the "Reverbed" version. I keep thinking of The Jimi Hendrix Experience and how could I not, but there's a twist to the grooves here and the album definitely creates a strong mood.

Whoa. Wow. A party disc.

Maybe the just installed NOS GE 5u4GB in the CSP2+ might have something to do with it. Or, 8 more strategically placed o rings under the ZKit1 and DAC could be it. All I know is the Crystals have disappeared in this concert.

Hair rising violin play furter accentuated with Viola da Gamba. Her voice can contain a hint of sibilance at times that has always been evident no matter what system it was played on. This is one I use to see "what condition my condition is in" on the stereo. All frequencies are so nicely presented on this recording with detail and musicality. And on top of that over the years I've learned to love the music more and more and more. A desert island disc for me.

"Secret Ellington"--a musical Ellington (and Strayhorn?) had written music for that went unproduced and this is the first recording of the libretto and music.

I always found this hard listening to the whole album.
This morning I am drawn with curiosity to continue. I like Geezer's contributions in "Thunder Underground". This is the best that I have heard this CD. Usally sounds like a bunch of noise with a beat and whaling 🎸. Today there is better distinctions between the players.
