Some heavy in-law stuff going down and I haven't had a lot of listening time the last few days, but I'm getting a little solo time this evening. Started off with this one, which I couldn't find for a few months and wanted to hear badly, and finally discovered it had slipped down behind a bookcase.

This one again--I'm trying an all "Type 80" rectifier pathway with an RCA globe in the CSP3 with the 25th anniversary mods and two Cunningham 380 globes in the SE84UFO3 with 25th Anniversary mods Monoblocks. Pretty interesting sound.

I had to adjust the ZROCK2 as it is very compressed sounding otherwise. I like Kurt best when his lyrics were more conventional as they were at the beginning of his career. Not the best Messengers album and I can see why it went unissued, but still glad it came out.

Since I've been really thrilled with the sound lately I put on two recordings that have awesome soundstaging, one "natural" and one "artificial" so to speak. And man they DELIVER "realistic" depth and width and dynamics.

The "natural" was Ella Fitzgerald "Ella Fitzgerald Sings the Gershwin Songbook" on Verve 3 cd, disc 1 this time, and with the "Phase" on my DAC "OUT." WOW.

Then the artificial was Flying Lotus "Flamangra" which showed layered production that always draws me deep in. What I had to do firs was prove to myself there was no distortion at the listening level I was listneing on other material, because there is plenty of deliberate distortion in this musical collage.

My recent paying attention to power aspects of the system have really paid off. The P15 is a fantastic regenerator, and adding one final Audio Magic fuse into the system and adding a second Shunyata "Defender" into the system has given me yet another plateau of smooth clarity.
