Will DeathBox work well as a small PA sub?

Driver selection might be an issue, but has anyone tried using a db 10 or 12 as a PA sub? It would be used for the lows of an acoustic music group, so getting a high SPL is not what I'm after. Portability and sound quality (accuracy and quick response) are more important to me.

I'm also considering a WO scaled for 8" speakers

i'd like to see a wicked one, with the height cut down 1 or 2 inches, loaded with some nice 8's Smiley

For PA I would scale the WO.
I have noticed that the WO seems to be popular with the PA crowd. It can also be pretty accurate. I just a good design like all of them to be honest. its just wood build both and clamshell the 8" in the 10" DB. I have a DB with a DVC8" and its no 10 but its pretty good overall.
that way you can still build the WO
