New House Wrecker

Just finished my HW cabinet yesterday.  Will be installing the drivers this evening.  I've got four 15", dual voice-coil speakers and I'm wondering if there are any recommendations as to how to wire them.

If I parallel each shelf-pair, that will be 4 ohms.  Then, if I series the two pairs, I will be back to eight ohms.  Or, I could series all four speakers and end up with 32 ohms.

I will have terminals on the outside of the HW box for each speaker, so it will be easy to change the configuration.

Any recommendations?

the recommendations depend on what amp you're going to power it with.
what amp do you have for your HW ?

The amp is quite old, probably 25 years, at least.  It's an ESS, made for Heil when he was building the big cabinets with 2 each 12' and the Heil air-transformers.

One channel of this amp seems to drive my WO-32 quite well.

32 is very efficient.

do you plan to bridge the amp ?
i assume it's stable down to 4 ohms in stereo. so if you bridge it, i'd wire the subs for a final load of 8 ohms Smiley
