HDT in the house

Well I was fortunate to buy a used pair of HDT's from a fellow up here in Canada which has the DFR-8 drivers and the alt. tuning mod.  So far I am pretty blown away by the quality of workmanship and sound.

In the manual, it mentions that there is a wood base available that would screw into the bottom instead of the spikes.  Is this an alternate accessory to be bought from decware or should they have come with the unit....  Otherwise does anyone have practical suggestions for using the spikes with some cups or the like to protect hardwood floors??

Cheers
Grant

I may get flamed but I have replaced spikes with rubber feet. Just something to keep them slightly off the floor.
U can tell I am a real audio file..... can you not Smiley

Well a Canadian thing to try would be to put a hockey puck under each spike or corner Grin

Just back from Panama for the last month and a half and finally caught up with the thread here.  I guess I'll just have to improvise for now.  I'm using the spikes with pennies on hardwood floor at the moment (grin)
