Thought you guys would be interested in this one.  Recently brought my TABOO and CSP over a buds house. He has the $7000 Art Audio Carissa 845 tube amp, Allen Wright modded Sony 9000ES SACD player, and some  Reference 3A  Royal Virtuoso monitor speakers ~$4500.  Well the speaks were rated at ~90db with apparently no crossover except a cap on the tweet - but the TABOO couldn't drive them very well. Even in a small room they clipped on bass notes even when it wasn't turned up very loud. Oh well all pairings do not a synergy make (as you can guess, my HDT's don't have this problem).  I left kinda disappointed but left my equipment there for him to play with.

The next day my friend called me up and left an excited message about how amazingly better his Art Audio amp sounded when he hooked up the CSP preamp to it!

I should mention that my CSP is also a little different.  Mine has Mundorf cap's and no gain pots like I believe the new ones have.
Though I don't know how much of a real difference this makes to the sound.
