It all depends on what features you want in a tuner.  I recently bought a MD-102, and I'm very happy with it.

I really did consider getting a tube tuner, like a 10B, but I didn't want to become a slave to repairing it and getting it constantly realigned.

This may be a bit of a silly question but, they can make amps with a self biasing feature... Can't they make a tube tuner with a self aligning feature?

Another question, if you have a digital tuner would the zbox give it some of the magic it does for a cd or dac?

www.mapleshaderecords.com sells reconditioned golden age tube tuners.  I don't have one. . . but sometimes wish I did!
