Taking the plunge! (1.5s)

Thank you all for keeping a forum rich with information.   I’ve carefully read the postings over the last year – leading to the purchase of a Taboo and of a pair of 1.5s!   I received the Taboo a couple of months ago and can’t wait to receive the new radials this month.    How did you guys survive the waiting period? ! ? !

The waiting period was murder.

Here's one tactic if you're a married man:

Spend a lot of time with your wife while waiting. Take her out to dinner.  Talk to her.  Lie around in bed and snuggle.  Get some flowers one night just to surprise her. You'll have a good time, she'll feel really nice. . . .

After a few weeks you'll sort of get a warm glowing feeling and forget for whole minutes at a time that you're waiting for those speakers.

And then they'll come, you can't help yourself you'll spend a lot of time with them, and she'll be okay with it because she'll be tired of you by then!

CONGRATS!  KEEP US POSTED! Grin

Lon,

LOL. Great advise...

Also, stop looking and drooling on the 1.5s product page. It will only make it worse.

I really believe you will be very happy with these speakers. I am.  :)

Ha!!!  I have to be careful on my response because my g-friend might be reading this . . .   Haven't laughed that hard in a while.

You are right Gary, I can't stop looking for information on the Radials - I think that is what eventually led me to buy them.  All I did was visit the different forums to read about them - over and over again.  Very difficult deciding between the 1.5's and the 3.0's without having listened to either, all I had to base my decision on were the forum's postings and both Bob's and Steve's input.   The Taboo purchase was based on the same asymetric information and I am very happy.

Got them in Maple!!!!

jp,

The 1.5's intrigue me like no other audio component. Major drool factor.  :)

I don't believe I have ever read anything negative about the 1.5's sound and that says alot in this hobby.

Take care,

Corey

Here's hoping the waiting is nearly over!

I've been so enjoying my RL2s today. . . I almost feel as if my next audio purchase (which is likely years away) will be the RL1.5s so I can have a pair of Radials in both systems. . . .!
